- South Africa – I was fortunate to have grown up in South Africa – a country that is undoubtedly one of the most culturally and geographically diverse places on earth. You’ll find the most spectacular scenery and breath-taking beauty whether you’re exploring Cape Town, travelling along the Garden Route, or spotting the game in the many nature reserves.
- Maldives – I’m a beach person at heart, which is why I’ve rated the Maldives, with its pristine waters and white sandy beaches, as one of my favourite holiday destinations.
- Bali, Indonesia – Offering a number of luxurious resorts set in rainforests or at the beach, this is a beautiful and romantic part of the world that everyone must experience at least once in their lifetime.
- Italy – My favourite place in Europe has to be Italy. Where wine, pasta, cheese and olives have no calories…need I say more?
- Thailand, Laos & Cambodia – From the food, to the people and the culture, these fascinating countries hold very special memories for me.
My Top 3 Travel Tips
- Take as many photos as you can and treasure them for a lifetime. Photos are the ultimate souvenir so don’t worry about looking like a tourist!
- Travel more! There’s a beautiful and fascinating world out there. So many different cultures and landscapes to explore.
- Don’t sweat the stuff you can’t control. No-one likes a cancelled flight but life is too short to be annoyed. Always look for the positive on your travels, perhaps you will get an extra day on holiday!
