The idea of heaven for my husband is driving around Europe in a Classic Car. These photographs have been included purely because of the stunning views and roads that we have driven over the years. I am more than happy to supply information on hotels in Europe as we have visited quite a few – especially in the Alps where the mountain roads are a favourite – the Stelvio Pass, the Pyrenees, Lake Lucern, St. Moritz… We have been doing these rallies for about 20 years so plenty of memories and photographs to share.

My travel career began as a freelance Travel Consultant within a small company and after a number of years I became a partner of the company. However, six years ago, I decided to start my own company - hence the birth of Spirit Away Travel.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy skiing, sailing, family holidays and in more recent times rather more exotic destinations. The company is based at my home which gives me the flexibility of working as and when required with no time restraints. I am always available to speak to clients as I appreciate it's not always easy during working hours to discuss holiday arrangements.

There is so much to see in the world and so little time - the older I get the more interesting the world becomes and the more places I want to visit. Thankfully, working in the travel industry allows me to indulge my passion and in turn to pass my experiences onto my clients.

It was the Dalai Lama who said "Once a year go somewhere you've never been before".

Spirit Away Travel was set up in 2011 by Caroline who has worked in the industry for over twenty years. Melanie joined the company in 2013 bringing with them considerable knowledge of the travel industry as well as sales and marketing experience. Brinley and Louise have joined more recently.

Between them, they have covered a large part of the world and experienced different types of holidays from skiing, sailing, walking and adventure holidays, weekend breaks and beach holidays. This helps them to support each other with the many different holiday enquiries they receive.
