We sailed from Southampton to New York on the Queen Mary 2. An iconic ship and a memorable journey. Spirit Away Travel also favour some of the smaller cruise ships such as Sea Dream and a French owned company called Ponant. We sailed with Ponant from Nice all around Corsica last year which was fantastic. Ponant apart from their sailing ship also have a collection of first class ships which travel to South America, Antartica and other far flung corners of the world.

My travel career began as a freelance Travel Consultant within a small company and after a number of years I became a partner of the company. However, six years ago, I decided to start my own company - hence the birth of Spirit Away Travel.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy skiing, sailing, family holidays and in more recent times rather more exotic destinations. The company is based at my home which gives me the flexibility of working as and when required with no time restraints. I am always available to speak to clients as I appreciate it's not always easy during working hours to discuss holiday arrangements.

There is so much to see in the world and so little time - the older I get the more interesting the world becomes and the more places I want to visit. Thankfully, working in the travel industry allows me to indulge my passion and in turn to pass my experiences onto my clients.

It was the Dalai Lama who said "Once a year go somewhere you've never been before".

Spirit Away Travel was set up in 2011 by Caroline who has worked in the industry for over twenty years. Melanie joined the company in 2013 bringing with them considerable knowledge of the travel industry as well as sales and marketing experience. Brinley and Louise have joined more recently.

Between them, they have covered a large part of the world and experienced different types of holidays from skiing, sailing, walking and adventure holidays, weekend breaks and beach holidays. This helps them to support each other with the many different holiday enquiries they receive.
